A four-agency task force probing the killing of two Indian doctoral students at a Louisiana State University apartment has intensified investigations, but has so far been unable to identify the motive behind the double homicide as two senior Indian officials reached the campus to take the stock of the situation.
A special taskforce formed on Saturday to probe the gruesome killing of two Indian doctoral students at their Louisiana State University apartment has launched a massive manhunt for three suspects described as "black men".
"Consul K P Pillai from the Consulate General (Houston) and First Secretary Alok Pande from the Embassy of India are being dispatched to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, today to establish contact with the University authorities, Police Department and the Indian American Community to render all possible assistance," the Indian Embassy in Washington said in a statement.
